SELENE 72 – The founder of Selene Yachts, Howard Chen, has been working with Guido de Groot, a renowned Dutch designer, for several years now to create new vessels that have all the features of a classic ocean yacht Selene with softer lines and different interior design that also attracts European customers. This international team was joined by James Fwu, a renowned Taiwanese marine architect for the production of hull lines, hydrostatic data, structural design, stability calculations, dynamics and the final “EU-type examination certificate” at RINA.
Selene 72 with a total length of 23.09 m, displacement of 72 tonnes and two Cummins QSL9 405 BHP engines (one engine version available) carries more than 11 355 litres of fuel for long voyages with a cruising speed of 9 knots and a maximum speed of 11.5 knots. The air-conditioned lounge offers the ultimate in comfort, while the large windows fill it with light. The lower deck hides three guest cabins, a luxurious owner’s cabin and a crew quarters. High-end equipment, modern design, beautiful joinery details and furniture provide the owner with a unique prestige. Selene 72 Ocean Explorer is designed for long voyages and adventures in all conditions.
